Chris Arouca

Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, Offensive Line

ATHLETIC BACKGROUND: Played guard as a 3-year starter and senior captain for Marshfield. Was a starter on Marshfield's first two championship teams (1995 & 1996). Also excelled as a wrestler at MHS, placing 4th at states as a junior and 3rd at states as a senior. Went on to play 4 years of football at Trinity College. EXPERIENCE: Began coaching football in 2003 at Marshfield as an offensive line coach. Progressed to become the offensive coordinator for Marshfield, a position he held on Marshfield's last two state championship teams (2009 & 2014), making him the only person to win multiple rings for Marshfield as both a player and a coach. Took over as head coach at Hingham High School in 2015, improving the Harbormen record in each of his 3 seasons, leading his teams to the playoffs in 2016 and 2017, reaching the south sectional semi-finals in 2017. His 2017 team finished with an 8-3 record, culminating with a win a 7-6 Thanksgiving Eve win over rival Scituate at Fenway Park. Coach Arouca is excited to take over as head coach at Marshfield High School heading into the 2018 season. Jim Connor

Defensive Coordinator

Played 3 sports all four years of high school (football, basketball and baseball) achieving 8 varsity letters. As a football player, was a 2-time all-league, all-Philadelphia area, all-county and All-State. Achieved football first-team All-American honors from Prepstar, Superprep, Tom Leming's and USA Today. Was offered over 50 full scholarships and decided to attend Boston College to play defensive and later offensive line. Played in 4 college bowl games (Aloha Bowl, Music City Bowl, Motor City Bowl, Insight.com Bowl). Lettered 2 years as an offensive lineman and also served as the team's long snapper. EXPERIENCE: Started his coaching career in ‘04-‘05 as an offensive and defensive coordinator at North Quincy High School. Took on the head role as the youngest head football coach in the state at 24 years old at North Quincy from 2006-2012 ending an 8 year run of losing records to 5 winning seasons. Became the head football coach at Norwell High School from 2012-2017 and ended 5 straight losing seasons prior to play in 3 district Championship games. Later became the head football coach at Hingham High School in 2018. He resigned as head coach to coach Marshfield youth football to coach his son for the past 4 years, eventually joining the MHS staff. SCHOOLS ATTENDED: Strath Haven High School outside of Philadelphia ‘99; Boston College 2003; Masters at American International College. PROFESSIONAL INFO: Public school history teacher 22 years. North Quincy, Brighton, and currently in Brockton. PERSONAL INFO: Father of two kids, Maddie (Marshfield ‘27) and James (Marshfield ‘30) and his dog Riley.

Sean Camire

Speed, Strength & Conditioning; Wide Receivers

Played wide receiver for Marshfield High School, recorded 33 receptions and 6 touchdowns while earning ACL all-star honors in 2011. Was a sophomore member of Marshfield's 2009 Super Bowl championship team. Was a sprinter on the MHS track team for 4 years. Went on to play wide receiver at Bridgewater State University for 4 years. EXPERIENCE: Started coaching in 2016 for Marshfield as a freshman coach. In 2017 he coached varsity wide receivers and served as the JV head coach, both of which he continues to excel at for MHS. Coach Camire also serves as the speed, strength, and conditioning coach for the Rams. SCHOOLS ATTENDED: Marshfield High School (’12), Bridgewater State University (’16) PROFESSIONAL INFO: Coach Camire is the gym owner of Open 24 Strength in Pembroke. He specializes in sport-specific training, working with local high school and college athletes. PERSONAL INFO: Lives in Marshfield. Enjoys working out and playing football and basketball with friends in spare time.

Tom Downey

Running Backs

Played football, baseball, and basketball at Duxbury High School. EXPERIENCE: Despite his Duxbury roots, his coaching career found him settling in with the neighboring Marshfield squad. He began as an assistant coach in 1994, and he was part of the staff that coached the Rams to Super Bowl championships in 1995 and 1996. He remained part of the staff until 2001, when career changes took him away from coaching. Coach Downey would later return to coaching in 2009 as a youth football coach in Marshfield, and he has continued to serve on the Marshfield Youth Football Board. He returned to coach at Marshfield High School in 2012, and he was the running backs coach on the 2014 state championship team. In 2015 he spent one year under Coach Chris Arouca at Hingham High School as the running backs coach, as well as head JV coach. In 2016, Coach Downey returned to Marshfield as the offensive coordinator, leading an offense that scored 407 points and produced a 1,000-yard rusher (Jack McNeil). Coach Downey returned to Coach Arouca's staff in Hingham for the 2017 season, serving as an offensive assistant. He came back to MHS when Coach Arouca took over the Rams' program in 2018, continuing to serve as the running backs coach. Sean Bogni

Linebackers

Played linebacker and running back at Marshfield High School. Was captain of the 1990 team. Honors included: All-ACL (1989 & 1990), Boston Globe All-Scholastic (1990), Patriot Ledger All-Scholastic (1990), Shriners Classic All-Star Game (1990). Coach Bogni's senior season stats read like some exaggerated fishing story, but they're entirely legit and will be near impossible to surpass: He still holds the single-game school record for tackles with 27 (at Randolph in 1990). In addition, he still holds the school record for tackles in a season, thanks to the 181 stops he made during the 1990 campaign. Coach Bogni also played defense on one of the first lacrosse teams at MHS. He earned a football scholarship to the University of New Haven, but he tore his ACL in his first pre-season, and as was often the case in that era (prior to modern advancements in orthopedic medicine), it led to the end of his playing career. EXPERIENCE: Has coached for nearly two decades at MHS. Jeff Dunn

Defensive Backs

Played running back and linebacker for the Smithfield (RI) High School. Also played 4 years of basketball and baseball for the Sentinels. Attended Wake Forest University, where he played football as a walk-on in his freshman year, before ending his playing career to focus on academics. EXPERIENCE: In 2016, became the head freshman coach at MHS. Has gone on to serve as varsity defensive backs coach for the Rams. SCHOOLS ATTENDED: Smithfield (RI) High School, Wake Forest University PROFESSIONAL INFO: Assistant Principal at Martinson Elementary School in Marshfield PERSONAL INFO: Lives in Marshfield with his wife, Sarah, and three daughters, Maddee, Ainsley, and Phoebe, as well as the beloved family dog, Lola. Coach Dunn's free time is often spent at the beach, in the woods, or cycling on the road. He enjoys walking Lola, practicing yoga, and doing anything beach related.

Rich Upson

Pass Game Coordinator, Quarterbacks Coach

Played both football and baseball at Marshfield High School. EXPERIENCE: Began volunteering as a youth football coach in Marshfield starting in 2005. Upon graduating from Marshfield High School, he began scouting for the school's football team in 2011. In 2013, he joined the Marshfield High staff as a full time offensive assistant working with the quarterbacks and wide receivers. In 2015, he became Marshfield High School's youngest-ever offensive coordinator, helping guide the team to an 11-1 record. Spent subsequent seasons as a film analyst on Coach Arouca's staff for Hingham High School, before joining him back at MHS when Coach Arouca became head coach for the Rams. SCHOOLS ATTENDED: Marshfield High ('09), Suffolk University ('14), Southern New Hampshire University ('16) PROFESSIONAL INFO: Works for Hudl. PERSONAL INFO: Lives locally with his wife, Heather, and their two dogs. They enjoy traveling and being outside during the summers.

Steve Mulligan

Offensive Line

Coach Mulligan played for Marshfield as a defensive end and offensive tackle during an era when the Rams won 4 straight league titles (2003-2006). He was a two-time Super Bowl runner-up in 2003 and 2006, and he was a team captain for the Rams in 2006. He also played two years each of basketball and wrestling during high school. Coach Mulligan went on to play defensive end at Assumption College. EXPERIENCE: Coach Mulligan has worked with the offensive line for the Rams since 2022. SCHOOLS ATTENDED: Marshfield High School ('07), Assumption College ('11). PROFESSIONAL INFO: Coach Mulligan serves our community as a police officer for the town of Marshfield. PERSONAL INFO: Coach Mulligan is happily married to his wife, Jennifer, and he is the proud father of Luke and Jake. For fun, he enjoys spending time with his family, working out at Salt Shack Crossfit, and playing golf.

Jeremy Silva

ATHLETIC BACKGROUND: Played football and basketball at Marshfield High School EXPERIENCE: Coached wide receivers at Marshfield High School from 1996-2000. Coached the JV team at Carver High School from 2001-2002. Returned to MHS as an assistant coach in 2003 and has been with the program since. SCHOOLS ATTENDED: Marshfield High School, Boston College, University of Phoenix PROFESSIONAL INFO: Teaches physical education at Margarita Muniz Academy in Boston. PERSONAL INFO: Lives in Marshfield, married to Sheri, father of Emmitt, Kenzie, and Jadon.

Lou Silva

Defensive Line

ATHLETIC BACKGROUND: Coach Silva played at Durfee High School, then moved on to play at Boston College. EXPERIENCE: Coach Silva was the legendary head coach at Marshfield High School for decades, winning 5 Super Bowls out of the 9 state championship games he coached the Rams to playing in. SCHOOLS ATTENDED: Durfee High School, Boston College PROFESSIONAL INFO: In addition to being head coach of the Rams for decades, Coach Silva was a longtime math teacher at Furnace Brook Middle School before taking over as Athletic Director at MHS. He is now retired. PERSONAL INFO: Loving husband of Ginny, proud father of Jeremy, Jessica, Josh, Justin, Jake. Proud grandfather of Jadon, Kenzie, Kyle, Drew, Rhian, Emmitt, Henry, Mae, and Lydia.

Brian "Shack" Shacochis

Assistant Special Teams, Assistant Tight Ends

Played tight end for Marshfield High School (Class of 1994), also played flanker on the MHS rugby team. Attended St. Michael's College, where he continued to play rugby for the Purple Knights. EXPERIENCE: Began coaching in 1999 as the co-head freshman coach at Scituate High School with former Whitman-Hanson superintendent Jeff Szymaniak. Worked as an assistant freshman coach at Marshfield High School for the 2000 and 2001 seasons under former Rams QB Donnie Robicheau, then worked as the head freshman coach for the 2002 season. Moved up to the varsity level in 2003, working with defensive tackles, and continued that role in 2004. Was out of active coaching until 2015, but got back involved on the periphery of the program from 2012-2014, serving as Marshfield Football's video coordinator, stats coordinator, and webmaster. Returned to active coaching for Marshfield in 2015 as the team's running backs coach, and he added punt and kickoff units to his duties in 2016. Joined Coach Arouca's staff in Hingham for the 2017 season, where he served as the Harbormen's special teams coordinator, as well as wide receivers and tight ends coach. Came back to MHS with Coach Arouca in 2018, serving as special teams coordinator and tight ends coach. Had to step away from active coaching again in 2019, serving only as the team's video coordinator and webmaster/statistician. Coach Shack was thrilled to return as an active member of Coach Arouca's coaching staff, starting in the 2024 season. SCHOOLS ATTENDED: Marshfield High School (1994), Bachelor's degree from St. Michael's College (1998), Masters degree from Fitchburg State College (2009) PROFESSIONAL INFO: Began teaching in 1998 at TechWorld Public Charter High School in Washington, DC. Moved back to Massachusetts and taught at Scituate High School in 1999, then in the juvenile unit at Plymouth County Correctional Facility in 2000. Began teaching at Marshfield in 2001. Teaches Video Production and Filmmaking courses at MHS in the Marshfield Student Broadcasting program. PERSONAL INFO: Lives in Marshfield. Happily married to his lovely wife, Stephanie. John Greer

High School - attended St. Joe's Collegiate Institute in Buffalo, NY (2004-2007). Started varsity basketball and football freshman through senior year. Captain of both basketball and football teams junior and senior year. 3rd-team all catholic (basketball) sophomore year. 1st-team all catholic (basketball) junior and senior year. 4th-team all western NY (basketball) junior year. 2nd-team all Western New York (basketball) senior year. 1st-team all western New York (football) sophomore, junior, and senior year for both safety and WR. Won two New York state basketball championships (freshman and junior year). College -Attended the University of New Hampshire (2007-2011) as a preferred walk on for the football team at Strong Safety. Played as a true freshman and earned a full athletic scholarship for sophomore junior, senior year. Started at safety during junior and senior year. Earned CAA and ECAC Football Defensive Player of the Week- October 2010 against the University of Richmond with 13 tackles, 2 INTs, 2 FF, 1 TD. Highlights from the game are at this link. EXPERIENCE: Has been on the Marshfield football coaching staff for the last 4 year coaching the defensive backs. PROFESSIONAL INFO: Has been working in the cybersecurity industry over the past 8 years. Currently the regional territory manager, Sales - East for Pondurance, LLC a cyber security firm headquartered out of Indianapolis, IN. PERSONAL INFO: Lives in Marshfield, MA with his wife Jenna, son Jack, and dog Thor "God of Thunder - Sauce Gardner" Greer.

Nick Landry

Manager/Defensive Statistician for Marshfield Rams Football from 2001-2005. Manager for Marshfield Girls Basketball from 2002-2006. Manager for Emmanuel College Women's Basketball 2006-2010 (four straight conference titles and one D3 Sweet 16 team). EXPERIENCE: Coach Landry has served various roles with the team since 2012. SCHOOLS ATTENDED: Marshfield High School ('06), Emmanuel College ('10), Fitchburg State ('18) PROFESSIONAL INFO: Coach Landry serves as an academic tutor at Marshfield High School. He has also worked as a substitute teacher in the towns of Scituate, Pembroke, and Duxbury. He began his career working at the Mission Grammar School in Boston as a PE teacher and an After School Teacher. PERSONAL INFO: Coach Landry is the son of Paul and Jane Landry. Mom Jane recently retired as the school nurse leader of the Marshfield Public Schools. Has two siblings, sister Caitlin Fawcett (MHS '04) and brother Chris (MHS '11). Coach Landry is a proud uncle to Chase and Grady.

Larry Nangle

Assistant Defensive Backs

Coach Nangle was inducted into the Marshfield High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006, and for mighty good reason. He earned 4 varsity letters in basketball, and 3 varsity letters each in football, track, and baseball. He was a captain on the MHS football, basketball, and track teams during the 1958-1959 school year. Coach Nangle earned a Class C state championship on the MHS baseball team in 1958, earning All-Scholastic honors from the Boston Globe along the way. He was a Class D champion in the 400, and his school record in the 400 was finally broken in 2006 after standing for 46 years. Moved on to play baseball at Chamberlayne Junior College. After his school career, Coach Nangle took up golf, where he continued to excel athletically, earning 5 club championships over the years. EXPERIENCE: Began coaching football at MHS in 1969, then coached at West Bridgewater from 1970-1973, before returning to Marshfield in 1974, where he coached for the past 48 years. Also coached track, which he began at West Bridgewater with the boys team (73-74), then continued at Marshfield (1985-present), working as both an assistant and head coach at various times. SCHOOLS ATTENDED: Marshfield High School ('59), Chamberlayne Junior College ('65), Boston State ('70) PROFESSIONAL INFO: Retired from his job as a math teacher at MHS PERSONAL INFO: Married to wife Linda. Proud father of 3 daughters (Kim, Kristin, and Kerri). Loving grandfather of 7 grandchildren (Shane, Leeanne, Olivia, Noah, Nathaniel, Finlay, and Willa). Coach Nangle's dad, Bud Nangle, is the beloved community legend whose namesake is honored by The Uncle Bud Skate Park in Marshfield.

Neal Parry

Assistant Tailbacks

Started 3 years as Tailback and 2 years as Middle Linebacker and Punter for Marshfield High School. Senior Captain of the 2016 team. Sophomore starter for the 2014 State Champion team. 2016 DiGravio Award (TEAM MVP), Emass All-Star, ACL All-Star. Also was a 4 year Varsity member and Senior Captain of the Lacrosse team. Went on to play Football and Lacrosse at Endicott College earning first team All Conference in Football and 3rd team All Conference in Lacrosse. EXPERIENCE: Second year of being a coach at Marshfield. Is also a head coach of the Youth Lacrosse Teams in Marshfield. SCHOOLS ATTENDED: Marshfield High School, Endicott College PROFESSIONAL INFO: Currently a Sales Development Representative at Klaviyo located in Boston. Previously was a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Shea Training Systems from 2017-2021. PERSONAL INFO: Lives in Marshfield. Besides coaching, Neal enjoys spending time at the beach and on the golf course.

9th Grade Head Coach & Offensive Coordinator ATHLETIC BACKGROUND: Played football at Rockland High School ('87). South Shore League all-star. Patriot Ledger and Brockton Enterprise all-scholastic. EXPERIENCE: Spent 13 seasons coaching youth football, the first 4 in Rockland, then 9 seasons with the Marshfield Youth Football program. Coached for the OCL 8th grade all-star game. Spent 9 seasons as offensive coordinator. Took over as head coach of the MHS freshman team in 2020. SCHOOLS ATTENDED: Rockland High School PROFESSIONAL INFO: Has worked the past 15 years as a construction superintendent for a local commercial real estate company. Has also taught religious education at his parish, St. Anne's, for 12 years. PERSONAL INFO: Lives in Marshfield with his wife Melissa, son Christian, daughter Brooke, and dog Beau. Loves spending free time in the gym, skiing, and on the beaches of Marshfield with his family.

John Coleman

Graduated Norwell High School in 2002, South Shore league player of the year as a running back and cornerback, All-scholastic in the 300 and 55 in indoor track, 2-year captain of the the lacrosse team. Played cornerback at Merrimack College. EXPERIENCE: Coached youth football in Marshfield for 13 seasons. Served as offensive coordinator and head coach of the 2028's for the past 7 seasons. Coach of Marshfield youth lacrosse for 19 seasons and multiple grades. SCHOOLS ATTENDED: Norwell High School, Merrimack College PROFESSIONAL INFO: Local 6 union construction for the past 20 years PERSONAL INFO: Proud father of Owen ('18), Lily ('26), Cash ('28), Jack ('30), and Trip ('31).
